Sorry folks, I think Gary owes you all an apology - though I'd be
surprised if you got one. This is the second group I've found one of his
posts in today telling me of "a great" something-or-other... and I bet
there are more.

Actually, it's the second "basic for sub-morons" guide he's spammed
across every photography group I participate in. I've seen speculation
he gets some kind of per hit compensation from advertisers to his site.

Some kind of basic guide might be useful, but this ain't it. He doesn't
appear to know his basics. Can't remember the exact "basic" he imparted,
but it was something like "f/16 lets in twice the light as f/8".
