K10D hands on experience

Received it yesterday after placing the order late Tuesday, great shipping
service. I am a long time (~30 years) Pentax user, so I am somewhat biased.
I have already a DS. I was not planning on getting one until summer '07, but
I could not resist the temptation any longer. I am glad I did and here are
some of the reasons.

Comparing to the DS, it is more substantial, quite different from the recent
offerings from Pentax. I like the weight, however. I like the shutter sound
and the lack of mirror vibration. They are muted and soft, similar to that
of the D70 that I thought has great shutter/mirror combination. The biggest
draw back of all SLR's is the shutter/mirror vibration IMHO. K10D comes very
close to eliminating this problem. This improvement alone is enough for me
to upgrade to the K10D.

The view finder is another improvement. DS and K10D have similar specs but
the K10D is brighter and easier to focus manually than the DS.

In terms of resolution, there is no comparison. DS RAW is not even close to
K10D JPEG. DR appears to be larger on the K10D although it is still an area
