Default Mamiya RB67 and M645 - Possibility for digital adapters?

Do the older Mamiya RB67 or M645 have attachements or accesories that
can store images in digital form?
I recall that there was this newer Mamiya RZ67 which was supposed to
replace the RB, and it has electronic capabilities beyond the old
style RB67.
I wonder if you can now buy attachment/accesories to replace the back
of these cameras (instead of putting film) and rig them to make into
digital images.
Just curious

Yes. It's made by Nikon, and called the LS-9000ED. (It's not out yet; but
the older model (LS-8000ED) has been discontinued.)

More seriously, the recent stuff I've seen seems to indicate that most
digital backs for Mamiya are for the 645 AFD only. That's their latest
autofocus 645 SLR.

As I understand it, the RZ67 does not replace the RB: both are current
models.

It sounds as though you aren't aware of the price of the digital backs. The
cheaper ones _start_at around US$15,000. At one point, one of the digital
backs came with a free Mamiya 645AFD.

I'm hopeful that the Epson 4870 scanner (which should cost less than US$500
when it becomes available shortly) will make scanning MF not only viable but
a _lot_ better than 6MP dSLRs for a lot more people.

Yep, and a $1 sheet of 4x5 Kodak 100 color negative is a lot
better.

Tghe current use of large format digital is almost like a polaroid. A
friend of mine has a PHaseOne back for his 6x6 and shoots both digital
and film. That also gives him a back up if the lab spois the shots.

One one occassion he got (and gets) a frantice ad guys in who because
of his lack ofg planned (Yuppie phone/crises control syndrome) had to
have this done now. He shot it until the guy got just what he wanted
and they did the whole there in the studio in an hour (Product shot)

My friend also got all the post production money too that way plus a
rush fee.

An 8x10 sheet is even better!

Probably, at least a tethered back (one which needs to be linked to a
computer during use).

Here lies the late Martin Francis

But he did take some photographs once.
