Fixed lens compacts, no matter how they are specked out are one- step up from camera phones. http://nikonrumors.com/2013/02/18/ni...rocessor.aspx/ I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. I still cherish my Canonet QL-17 RF camera and never complained about its quality. Nor would I feel inadequately equipped if I had an old Leica M3 with a 50mm Summicron. Trying to make a "hand" camera like an SLR into a 4x5 is an exercise in futility, IMO. FWIW: I would consider myself pretty well equipped if I had an old Kodak Tourist (refurbished), with a few good filters, a goog tripod and my LunaPro. And my little Fuji 10MP pocket camera has done me yeoman service. Can't complain. Alex |
