Contax 645 Polaroid Back

I just got a used polaroid back for my contax 645 and it didn't come
with instructions (and the contax website, by the way, is useless). It
took me half a pack of Polaroid film (Polapan Pro 100) to figure out how
to load/expose/develop the film properly.

Now that I've got that right, my images are "cropped." Instead of a
56x45mm photo, I'm getting an approx 56x26mm photo. The bottom of the
shot is missing - it's just black with a fuzzy border.

I thought I had screwed up the first polaroid pack, so I loaded a new
one. The problem is still there.

Iget the same results with an 80mm and 140mm lens.

Ideas?

That was exactly it (too fast shutter speed).

I had just figured that out, actually, and in an attempt to look less
like an idiot I was going to post my own answer.

I was too late

I was so caught up trying to figure out the polaroid back that I forgot
the basics.
