Default Digital B&W photos

Somehow, grayscale digital photos either taken directly with a digital
camera or converted from color using a photo editor don't quite have the
feel of "true" b&w photos. Does anyone know of techniques one can use (I
have Paintshop Pro) to turn color digital photos into b&w photos that
exhibit the tonal qualities of "true" b&w photography?

Ah well - shame really.

Tsk... There's no point in having a look at the one, the only, the one and
only Russell Brown's website tutorials in which he shows how to use
channels, yes! that's right. Channels to get B&W effects.

Trouble is - it's Photoshop CS :-(

Sorry eNo I don't kNoW

GOOD tutorial.

It should work just fine with **any** version of PhotoShop.

IIRC, I've used it with Version 3.04 ... even though he says "PhotoShop 7.0
or greater" on the web site.

Oh ... and BTW "Aerticus" ... you forgot the URL
