Default pink/purple stain

I just found a pink/purple stain on a print. I was sure that this print had
been completely washed. What might be the source of this stain?

Not really a scold but more information would be a big help, type of paper,
processing scheme, chemicals choices, etc. Will take a stab based on the
info received.

Some papers will show purple or pink stains if underfixed, the stains will
quickly get darker on exposure to white light. Usually happened to me when
trying to process too many RC prints at a time in a too small an amount of
fixer. It's either that or exhausted indicator stop bath carryover and
inadequate agitation.

Thanks Mike; use fiber paper and I think the washing might be the problem. I
will take more care in the future.

Could be, especially if you're not using the type of "archival" washer that
separates prints as they wash.
