You forgot an apostrophe in "people's"..... It's plural, and should be "peoples'". Uh, "people" is a plural, and it's also a possesive in that sentence, requiring an apostrophe, lense-man! Except "people" is *not* plural. It is a collective noun. It can be a collective noun, yes. And in fact is rarely used in the plural, which is probably the reason you aren't familiar with proper use. Possesive, Floyd, possesive. Still avoiding the fact that an apostrophe is required, contrary to your assertion? Stalking me are you?? You'd need to be worried then, eh? Do you ever answer questions in a straight-forward manner? Do you always answer a question with a question when ducking? Do you ever admit when you're wrong? The point though, which you still can't get correct, is that in the context used it *is* plural, unless you want to claim he was saying only one specific cultural/ethnic/whatever group produces such errors, and all other peoples write error free. If it isn't that, then it would be peoples' errors that was referenced. English people, Arabic people, French people, and so on. Lots of peoples out there... all making errors when they write, just like you. Do you need a better example? Stalking me are you?? You'd need to be worried then, eh? Possesive, Floyd, possesive. Still avoiding the fact that an apostrophe is required, contrary to your assertion? What? I did not say the apostrophe was not required. Oy. Darn my vision. I now see that you in fact included an apostrophe in your quote, "peoples'". I don't have a quarrel with that interpretation; my bad. Probably. But to reiterate, I did not see till now that you included the possesive, and were defending something else that I don't care to argue one way or the other. So I was wrong to say you were wrong- in this instance. Now, how about that "lense" thing you do?? And the 'special' formatting?? -- john mcwilliams |

" which is probably the reason you aren't familiar with proper use. Smirk. -- Ray Fischer |
