My sister and her husband are planning a serious trip this summer and are planning to buy a DSLR after several prosumer digital camera's and a well used K1000 film camera. In a time honour tradition of glass first they forwarded a link to me comment on
this lens as an interesting travel lens. AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f3.5-5.6 Has anyone used this lens? What about alternative DSLR travel kit. w.. |

Depending where they are going will depend on how much use they will get out of thet lens. If they are going to need to take images of distant animals, people, landscapes then a 80-400mm 4.5-5.6 edif-vr af would be even more fun. Both lenses will allow to hand hold in lower light than normal. Hope they have a good trip. Draco |
