For Super Ikonta experts
Hi everybody, I've a 530/16 Super Ikonta. Looking for the camera, there
is a little lever on left bottom, in front of shutter release lever. It is a "security lever" to avoid accidental shots. The problem is that it stays ALWAYS on security position and so it is not possible to take photos. Is there any trick to block it in another position or is simply broken? Thanks all P. |

I've given it to a friend of mine, to test it. As soon as I've it back Have you tried winding it on? Does that allow the shutter to be released? I can post an image. What do you think about this camera, anyway? I guess the lens is not coated, let alone multicoated, so you will get flare in some of your shots. Apart from that, if the camera is in good condition, it should give you good results. It is a Zeiss Super-Ikonta, after all! If I move it and keep in this positions (for example with the help of an elastic) I can release the shutter, but obviously this is not an ideal solution. I think and hope there is a way to block it in non-security position, but I don't know how do this! When you turn the knob to wind the film on a few times, doesn't this lever free itself and allow you to make an exposure? |

I have to move by hand or with an elastic or a thread. It seems to be a spring connected with lever but it works "on reverse" keeping lever on security position. |

You might have to shop around for this so you don't pay too much. I am guessing that this will cost about 80 USD. If you like the camera and it is in serviceable condition then perhaps paying this amount to get it fully working again will not hurt. |
