What is the general consensus on the quality and quality of pictures taken
with Sigma lenses. I have a N90 that I may be using them with. Scott |

I bought them for my kids used because I got them for next to nothing. I find
the build quality inferior to Canon. The optics are very poor. This is based on the 28-105 f/2.8-4 and a 28-200 f/???. What's wrong with Nikon optics? Consider that you will get far better results with an N-55 and good optics than a N-90 and poor optics. Larry |

Nothing wrong with Nikon optics, it's all I own, I was just wondering and looking for some input that isn't coming from a salesman. Thanks to all! Scott |

I just scored a 75 to 300 F4.5-5.6, like new with box, caps and all for $250 at a pawn shop, which was less than the Sigma the local expert was pushing. I stopped by to show him, just to rub it in. Through the viewfinder alone the difference in image quality could be seen, and mechanically, there was no comparison. I agree about the new Nikon G lenses, that have no aperture ring and non-coated lenses; not interested. They even feel cheesy. Just out of curiosity, what is you're favorite color print film in the ASA 100 range? Black and White? Scott |
