Newbie question: Is Jobo the way to go for large format negs?

Actually it's not so much the scratches that bothered me it was the gouges. Then there
are the sheets of film that pop out hangers into the developer. The negatives that
survive the hangers are ruined when you lose track off how much film you've developed
in the tank and you end up ruining your negatives in depleted developer.

You must have used messed-up hangers. I never had a problem with
popping-out or gouges.

Sure the x-ray development counted! We developed X-Rays on the same hangars
photographers use. Develop, rinse, fix, rinse. It's the same practice. ....

about streaking? True! Streaking or developing artifacts hardly show up on
X-Rays, and when they do they are obvious enough to disregard. Okay. X-Ray
development doesn't count.

I don't use hangars today largely because all my development is one-shot. I
don't ever have enough film to warrant a tankful of hangars. I don't know if
they streak or not. I won't ever likely find out unless someone _gives_ me
the tanks and hangars and I change my development to include replenishment,
which I don't trust.
