Farewell to Alan Browne !

Alan Browne announced today that he is leaving the photo groups
forever. We will all miss his rude comments, critical photo reviews,
and his general cocky, self-absorbed attitude. In an obvious attempt
to fish for reassurances that he will be missed, he posted the
following drivel this morning:

News of the day: the troll wins.

So, I hope now that I am leaving, that the troll will leave the rest of
you alone and the NG will return to a troll free existence.

Lisa, thanks for setting up SI, I believe it will go for a long while.
Congratulations to you and Bret and everyone who has supported SI and
participated in good faith.

As for the NG itself, I have learned a lot from many people here, and I
hope that I have helped a few of you in the meantime.

I'd like to salute and thank the good folks of the
rec.photo.equipment.35mm NG:

That is so weird. I heard from a colleague in Canada that Alan Browne
has just begun phase one of his dental makeover. He will be on
television soon.

Its a new program. Its called, "Usenet Survivor." In the show people
try to drive each other off usenet.
