What is a Nikon F5 body worth?

I have a chance to buy a Nikon F5 body in excellent cosmetic, and working
condition. What is the price range I should consider?

From what I've seen, if it's really clean, you can probably expect to
pay somewhere around $900 to $1000. At least that's the ballpark.
There are a fair number of F5's showing upon the used market these
days for anywhere between about $700 and $1200. Many of them are
pretty well used, since the bulk of them come out of professional
service. A few months back, I picked one up from B&H for about $900.
It was listed as a 9+ on their webapge, and it is just that. Beautiful
camera, built like a tank. Good luck!

No way! A very clean F5 can be had for around $500-650. I would not pay
more.

My two cents worth!!

A used Nikon F5, in any condition, is only worth what someone is willing to
pay for it.
