Default Weird. Found film in old camera

The film was Polaroid Polachrome. Long discontinued. Thing is, it was exposed AND developed! There is a silver sheen on one side, but the thing is clearly slide film. That film was "instant" in that you could develop it by running it through a small processor Polaroid sold for it. But why would it have ended up back in a camera?

I did things like that (not with polaroid, I didn't have such a camera)
when testing the movement of the film in the camera.
