Default Sony R-1 "could" be a DSLR

A DSLR sized sensor coupled to an expensive zoom lens
for $1000. How much to sell it with the lens being removable?
Probably cheaper than what a top flight zoom from a camera
company and an entry level DSLR would be. Sony could release
a real DSLR if they wanted to.

Sony is threatening to do exactly that.

They'll probably do something like Yahoo Groups did, and state that any
image taken with their cameras are their intellectual property.

I expect that it will work perfectly just like my Sony V1 and my Sony
TRV-320.

You haven't heard about Sony embedding tracking programs in their music CDs,
so they can track your preferences and usage while you are playing that CD
on your computer?

For no specific reasons I haven't bought a Sony product in years. With the
disclosure of their distribution of a rootkit I'm glad I haven't, and I sure
never will now.

Last time I checked my Sony camera and camcorder were not actually music
CD's.

I do however agree with the sentiment about not being happy about installing
things without your knowledge, enough to give you the absolute ****s really.

No, but think what Sony could do with programs like that and a processor in
a camera, as opposed to merely a downloadable on a CD...
