Why has he used the Zeiss 120/4 Macro for this test?
This macro lens.....which I have for my Hasselblad is a true macro lens and are not the best lens to use at distances close to infinity. This macro lens.....which I have for my Hasselblad is a true macro lens and are not the best lens to use at distances close to infinity. Max It might be more accurate to refer to a lens of this type as a "restricted" macro lens, since it only works optimally over a modest magnification range. Slow double Gauss lenses of this sort respond extremely well to the technique of moving the front and rear groups at different rates during focusing, and I'm surprised that Zeiss chose not to do this.
