First image... nah, the birds just sort
emerge strangely from the dark lower half
of the frame.

2nd.. much better, but what's with that
crazy sloping horizon?

3rd.. The movement of the gulls draws
my eyes to the bottom left corner, but
there's nothing there.

In general, in shots of this type, the
presence of houses is somewhat taboo.

It's nice to see the traditional & romantic view of the seagull enduring
into the 21st Century.
I live near the coast of North Wales and share your interest in the natural
history of the seashore and the creatures which frequent it.
Unfortunately it appears that in the future, the seagull is fated to become
a bird of the garbage dump, as more of them congregate there than we ever
seem to see at the coast.
In the light of this fact, I wonder how long it will take before they lose
their romantic "seafaring" associations in the public consciousness?
