Hands(fingers), feet, eyes, ears, nose, all teamed with several cranial nerves.

Do the measurements. You'll be surprised.

Windows 7 will do it for you.

however, it's less proprietary than windows. a lot of os x is open
source and some of that open source is used by apple's competitors,
including google, nokia and others.

God. How many times can YOU get things wrong. Osx is based on Free Bsd.
This is programmed to be as like unix as possble just like linux. These
are not unix but they are as much like unix as they can be with all the
advances that has been made in the last few years.

Linux is a unix clone, but Free BSD and therefore MAC
OSX are literally UNIX by definition of the term "UNIX",
which is a trademark with a specific technical meaning.

Regardless, they are all "unix" or "Unix" in the sense
that the use the same interface to a kernel that
provides the same functionality.

it doesn't 'look like unix,' it *is* unix, in fact it's certified as
unix. it's very definitely unix.

There's no such thing as certified UNIX, not these days.

More bull pucky.

Nothing with all the proprietary code of the Mac OS could be considered UNIX.

Abject ignorance on your part.

totally wrong. 64 bit apps are generally faster than 32 bit apps,
sometimes dramatically so, on the same processor.

Do some measurements. You'll be surprised.

take your own advice before spouting more nonsense.

32-bit apps should run significantly faster, all else being equal,
because they don't need to access memory as much.
