Default [photo] first serious macro session of the year

Met up with some other local Brisbane macro enthusiasts on
Sunday. First time out for me in a while, and thoroughly enjoyed
it. Learned quite a bit by just watching how some other guys do
things slightly different to me.

This is one of my "catches of the day" I think.

Thanks. This was taken with a Canon 40D, 100mm macro lens with
68mm of extension tubes, and the MT-24EX twin light diffused with
Lumiquest Ultrabounces (just testing that out at the moment).
Wow, that was a mouthful.

I was a bit out of touch, otherwise I probably would have used
the MP-E 65 but it's a bit of a wild one. Find the 100 and tubes
much easier to control.

Dang, Troy. You do have the knack for making ugly thing beautiful. Well,
done.

Hehe. Thanks Russell. I think.

That's a lot of trouble to go to just for a close up of KRudd's missus.

- KRudd at his finest.

"The Labour Party is corrupt beyond redemption!"
- Labour hasbeen Mark Latham in a moment of honest clarity.

"This is the recession we had to have!"
- Paul Keating explaining why he gave Australia another Labour recession.

"Silly old bugger!"
- Well known ACTU ****pot and sometime Labour prime minister Bob Hawke
responding to a pensioner who dared ask for more.

"By 1990, no child will live in poverty"
- Bob Hawke again, desperate to win another election.

"A billion trees ..."
- Borke, ****ed as a newt again.

"Well may we say 'God save the Queen' because nothing will save the governor
general!"
- Egotistical ****head and pompous ****wit E.G. Whitlam whining about his
appointee for Governor General John Kerr.

"SHUT THE **** UP YOU DUMB ****!"
- FlangesBum on learning the truth about Labour's economic capabilities.

"I don't care what you ****ers think!"
- KRudd the KRude at his finest again.

"We'll just change it all when we get in."
- Garrett the carrott

Slight crop, but not much. Was with tubes on, so around 2:1
magnification.
