Good practice is to start the GPS well, say 30 min ahead of a session and turn it of afterwards, if you have the problem Davoud describes. -- teleportation kills |

The bigger issue with getting a GPS lock is having a clear sky with minimal vegitation or building cover. With the Nikon GP-1 on my D300S I get a lock within 1-4 minutes, but mostly 1-2 minutes. The extra battery usage is minimal, so little in fact that it has never been an issue in the 6 years I have owned the D300S. -- Regards, Savageduck |

Canon should be totally ashamed of this (and some others too) HP got this basic and absolutely essential thing right in their little digicam that's cheap even for a P&S, so why can't Canon?!! Yes, I know, there's more to the Canon 20D, but w | Mike Henley | Digital Photography | 58 | December 15th 04 05:21 PM |
