Other than its usage of SD cards rather than Compact Flash--I really dislike
the trend of SD cards all but phasing Compact Flash out (to wit: Nikon converting to SD for all their point & shoot compacts)--but otherwise this is looking like a real deal to consider. I have lusted after the D70 for sometime (have a Coolpix 5700) but having just gotten the Coolpix 5700 in May for $500 haven't made the leap. This one could be the one that does it. There is AFAIK no official word from Pentax on this important issue. According to Google, the majority (171) just drop the "*" and say "ist" - while a minority (48) say "star-ist". -- - gisle hannemyr [ gisle{at}hannemyr.no - http://folk.uio.no/gisle/ ] ================================================== ====================== «To live outside the law, you must be honest.» (Bob Dylan) |

I do find it irritating that these formats seem change ever so quickly. -- -- rec.photo.equipment.35mm user resource: -- http://www.aliasimages.com/rpe35mmur.htm -- e-meil: there's no such thing as a FreeLunch.-- |
