Default Some interesting innovations for 2007

There are some interesting innovations already this year:

28 - 504mm zoom:

An ISO 10,000 camera:

Innovations? It's the continuing numbers game for those who haven't figured
it out yet. These "innovations" will be likely achieved with serious
compromises.

You think there might be a little distortion with this lens?

Sure it is. Now, if Olympus has come up with a way that the picture would not
look just like any other camera's picture pushed to 10,000 -- that would be
an accomplishment. At least they are not calling it image stabilization.

I'd be more concerned about soft images. 20x zooms on camcorders are
no big deal, but the resolution is a lot lower. I have an E-100RS
which was an early 10x zoom camera and it's a bit soft at the long
end, even at 1.3 MP.
