Responding or creating?

Clearly responding to the vlogger market. It would be fair to say they
(accidentally?) created a camera class for that market a couple/few
years ago - but the latest cameras are responding to that market by
making up in areas where those cameras were very good but not great for
that. Now it looks like they're honing in.

In article ,
says...
Clearly responding to the vlogger market.

And you need a full frame camera for vlogs - APS-C is not good
enough?

The only benefit I can see to a smaller camera body while maintaining the current trend toward hulking FF lenses is that when you carry such a camera, the lens weight will cause it to droop downward, making the camera being carried technically less prone to bump into objects...

Bang! You NAILED their marketing analysis perfectly. As IF you stole
the actual market strategy docs from Sony.

That would depend on the vlog.

....er, or what the vlogger/vloggist/vloginator is trying to sell.

For now I am sticking to APS-C with my reasonable investment in pretty good glass.

I think like a stills photog. Not a videographer or vlogger.

Digital still cameras evolving to do video is not much of a surprise.
The unexpected twist is how vloggers have gravitated to high quality
video. One vlogger who I used to watch on occasion, Casey Neistat, was
one of the trend setters for this. He started with pretty crappy
cameras and worked his way up. His talent is in story telling and
editing. Also quite the rags-to-riches story overall - his net worth is
somewhere north of $10M - all based on vlogging and offshoots.

One of his better efforts - NYC blizzard in 2016. (1080p ish)

Another, really well done video (not Neistat): Also 1080p ish.

Then 4K ...

In the end, it takes a very compelling still image to hold someone's
attention, whereas a well done video (edit! edit! edit!) can really grab
someone's attention.
