What is the best way to make copies of hundreds of 35mm slides?

I have several hundred boxes of slides each with more than thirty
slides in it and would like to be able to make prints from them. I figure
that if I can get them into a digital format I can use any photo type printer.

1) There are services that do this for a nominal fee (25 - 50
cents/slide). Google is your friend.

2) Nikon Coolscan 5000 or V scanner with slide feeder attachment.
