I have several hundred boxes of slides each with more than thirty slides in it and would like to be able to make prints from them. I figure that if I can get them into a digital format I can use any photo type printer. Is there an easy way to do this or do I need to pay a professional? Peter So you have about 7000 slides, I sorted till I had 300 and used a slide scanner, actualy a canon mp 950. Its time consuming or expensive to do so I would only do the best ones. ---------------------------------- Go to eBay. Find a good. cheap 35mm camera, like a Pentax K-1000 or the like. Find a slide copier for it. Pay maybe $200 or less for the works. Load some color print film in the camera, and start shooting slides. The cost of film and processing might go for about $0.50 per slide, and you'll have negatives should you want enlargements of the slides. After you're done, you'll still have a nice 35mm camera to use. |
