Default Digital Equipment and Airport X-Rays

I am traveling to Texas to shoot my brother in law's wedding (yes, I know,
weddings). I will be flying for the 1st time ever. (Yes, the 1st time ever.)

I know airport X-rays can hurt film. How about digital cameras themselves?
Any other practical considerations?

Not really much of a problem for digital. Security of checked luggage
is not all that good, so I suggest not checking your equipment. Some people
worry about magnetic issues, but I have not experienced or seen any evidence
of a serious threat from the magnetic sources in an air port.

Agree with carrying on camera.
Are you going to take a laptop, or are you going to be able to d/l images
onto a PC before you return?
When I travel and use film I try and get it processed before the return trip
home.
Remember the rules for carry on. Can carry on one bag and a
briefcase/camera case.
Good Luck.
