Update: The battery cell is of course dead. They only last so long and
must be used (charged and discharged) continually to remain in good working
order. I did not mention this in the above ad and I apologize. I expected
anyone who is familiar with this equipment would assume the cell was dead.
This is reflected in the sale price for the item. I called Quantum
Instruments yesterday (516-222-0611) and talked to the service department
and enquired about replacing the cell. Ship the unit to them (with charger)
and they will replace the old cell with a new one for $46. I didn¹t ask if
that included return shipping but they did not mention otherwise, so draw
your own conclusions or give them a call to check. I assume it does include
return shipping in that price. Sorry if this caused anyone inconvenience.

I found the BR-1 charger... I¹ll include it in the above price of $35 +
exact shipping. This model sells for around $100 new.
