Drum scan story and photos

As some of you know, I recently came into a
ScanMate 5000 drum scanner This was a long-
distance, dumpster-rescue mission, you could
say. Hey, it worked for a while, but then it stopped.
I'm not terribly disappointed... I got what I paid for.

Downright interesting, Rafe. Who else gets to play with $45,000 worth of

What are the symptoms of the failure? Maybe the collective wisdom can noodle
it out.
