Default Film Reviews

I have a copy of the "Amphoto Book of Film" 1992. A lot has changed since
then. Is their an independent web based review of films? Or alternatively
a more recent book? Amphoto does not seem to have updated this title.

try http://medfmt.8k.com/mf/filmp.html for related postings and links on
films, also mf/lenslpm.html for film resolution limits values.

most of the mfgers have online tables and data sheets with MTFs and so on
so you can check on any specific film

you can pretty readily test out various films, thanks to mail order prices
from B&H, other ads in shutterbug for films, ebay, short dated films in
rec photo lists ads, and so on. This is more fun and more useful than most
of the books on the subject, most of which are dated (I like the FILM BOOK
by Roger Hicks and Frances Schultz because of its more general approach
too ;-)....
