Consider yourself lucky. This camera is a particularly poor model. Did
you know that Canon cameras use the oldest image sensor technology on
the planet? Only Sigma digital cameras use the incredible Foveon
sensor which captures images in 3 colour layers like film. Plus, the
overall image quality and features on the Sigma blow any Canon model
like a **** into the water. Cancel the order and buy the Sigma SD10-
the best camera available today.

I have no objection to Sigma's cameras as I have not tried them. I don't
want them rammed down my throat all the time.

It's not what I'd call an awful camera. It does have severe limitations
though. The lenses can vary from ghastly to good. This basically sums up to
a school report of could do better. If Sigma dumped that stupid Sigma lens
mount and got a Nikon mount on their cameras then they'd be a step on the
road. All the need to do then is to add jpeg file format and try to do
something about the limitations on uprating the ISO.
