Default Question for those who've owned both Canon 20D and 30D

Gidday!

I'm considering upgrading my 20D to a 30D - I know that the 30D takes the
same grip, so no worries there, but I'm trying to work out if my really
really expensive L plate from really right stuff will fit the 30D.

The good news is that the L plate only attaches to the grip, but it has a
cutout so that the user can still plug connectors into the video / synch /
remote sockets on the side.

So - the $2000 question is, "does the 30D have those sockets in exactly the
same place - and is the left-hand edge of the case the same?

Many thanks to anyone who can help.

Cheers,

Colin
