Default Vivitar Series One macro

hi,

My step father gave me his old Canon A1 with a vivitar Series 1 70-210. It
seems that the zoom has macro capabilities, but unfortunately I am not able
to use it. I would appreciate any hints about this function. You can
understand that I dont want to spend $15 just for that matter.
Thank you
Cedi

It sounds like you have the first edition, with the macro collar on it. Is
that so? If so, you have to pull the zoom collar back to the 210mm setting,
then depress the little white button on the collar and turn it
counter-clockwise. This will engage the macro setting. If you have anymore
questions, please ask.

Cool, thanks. I was affraid to force. It only works when the collar is
pushed hard to the 210mm settings. Thank you a lot!
