Your NNTP server is broken!

Unlikely. It's only your posts (and not all of them) which show up
twice.

Android is full of second thoughts, and edits.

Whatever. Your server is broooken! Since it does not honor the supersede
command... :-ppp

Pah! Raise you the 10.2MP of my NikonD80!
Still going strong, still producing super saturated colour.

...and in my bag of tricks I still have a D70 that did well with 7.3 MP, and
a mediocre lens 12 years ago.

Yeah, a colleague of mine uses a D70 as well and absolutely loves it!

Supersede is a part of the Usenet protocol that should be recognized by
a properly configured server...

except it isn't, and most do not.

Most also employ a time limit. Even from the original author the
supersede will be ignored if it does not arrive within some very short
time of the original posting.

But once an article has started to spread through the wider Internet
you wave goodbye to any chance of of superseding. That may mean you
have only seconds within which to change your mind.

Superseding means that the original article will be canceled and
replaced by a new one in the treads hierarchy.

It was, but in 2005, the original Nikkor 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6 VR was the only
VR lens in my kit, and it did the job surprisingly well on that helicopter
shoot.

Mark Storkamp:
When the pixel density of the sensor exceeds the theoretical resolution
of the optical system, the density is high enough, and IMO we are there.

Surely the question of whether pixel density exceeds theoretical
resolution of the optics is one to be answered by a simple calculation
and is and not at all a matter of opinion. Have you done the
calculations for any camera and lens combinations?

When I bought my D750 I made the deliberate decision to limit myself
to 24 MPx. Had I wanted to I could have bought a 45 MPx D850 but I
didn't see that I would benefit from the file size.

My brother bought a D600 a while ago, then barely used it. Too big&
heavy, too hard to use it (he never managed to learn how to use it).

it's very easy to use.

Any camera is easy to use, if you know how.

and even if you don't.

start off by setting it to 'p' and let the camera do all of the work,
then move on from there at whatever pace is comfortable.

if someone understands photography, they can figure out how to use an
slr, including the d600, as well as any other camera.

plus, instant feedback makes it incredibly easy to learn, more so than
film cameras.

the limitation is almost always the user, not the camera.

I know three experienced and
serious photographers who got it for close up work, but for one reason
or another, all three did not like using it. Two of them are now using
Fujis, and the third a Sony. I am not sure which models.

whatever works, but that's a rather specialized application and one
well within the abilities of the d600, which suggests that they
probably didn't have the camera configured appropriately.

The only thing with the D600/610 was the problem with the lube splattered
sensors, and fragile curtains.

And General Ugly!

For the most part, it exuded wishy-washy, low budget construction.

One of my friends mentioned that he was not happy with his D600
purchase, it just didn't feel right to him. I tried it and I cannot say
exactly, but I just did not like it.
