Default New Pentax Spotmatic Web Site Goes Online

One of my friends, another Pentax M42 enthusiast, has put up a new web site,
dedicated to the Asahi (Honeywell) Pentax Spotmatic and ES cameras, and
their line of Takumar lenses. I just checked the site, and there is very
little on it just yet, but he plans to add copies of camera manuals, vintage
ads, lens data sheets, photos of the cameras, lenses and accessories,
downloadable repair manuals and a message board.

His objective is to create what will be essentially an online encyclopedia
all about the Pentax screw mount system. The site is going to be completely
non-commercial, and nothing will be sold there.

Persons with an interest in the classic Pentax line of cameras and lenses
may wish to add the site to their bookmarks:

Getting an education was a bit like a communicable sexual disease. It
made you unsuitable for a lot of jobs and then you had the urge to
pass it on.

I just emailed him my copies of the SMC Takumar lens data sheets. He'll be
putting them up over the next couple of days. He also has original
Honeywell Pentax advertising materials, manuals and even repair manuals to
post. It should become a nice resource for those of us that collect, or
use, the classic Pentax screwmounts.

Looks like it could be a good site but I get nothing but the home
page. Everything else is inactive..

Just went online yesterday. Nothing but the basic web design is up yet. I
believe that the lens data sheets will be first things posted over the next
few days.

Site should start becoming a useful resource over the next couple of weeks.
