rechargeable batteries failure
Hi, bought a set of 4 'Ansmann' 1800 NIMH in UK about 1 year ago, 2 of the
set are OK but the other 2 had died on me after only about 12 charges. They appear to charge on charger but won't even take 1 pic before dying. I have 6 batteries all told so usually rotate all 6. so they have not been over used. At the moment they have been relegated to my TV remote where they are working. I use the batteries in Fuji 2600 Zoom. Any ideas out there the reason they should be dead for the camera, I know the camera uses a lot of power but they shouldn't have died already should they ? Kenneth A battery has an internal impedance. That's a measure of its ability to deliver a specified current. A high internal impedance battery will power devices with low current demand but not devices with a high current demand. A battery defect can raise its internal impedance and make it useless for high current applications but it can work with other devices. |
