macOS Catalina and Fujifilm Software
It appears that there are some issues with Fujifilm Software used with macOS
Catalina. This bulletin was published today: "We have checked the performance of our application software used with “macOS 10.15 (Catalina)” which was newly released from Apple. As a result, we have confirmed the symptoms described in the list below. We will fix the symptoms by upgrading the application software. And we plan to post the upgraded ones sequentially on our global website.” https://www.fujifilm.com/news/n191031_01.html -- Regards, Savageduck |

I received multiple emails concerning various music software I own about this (even though I use Windows). |

I think they might have all found fixes by now. Apple might have changed the way they handle audio. |

It never hurts to be careful, but considering all the warnings I got, it looks like everyone was aware there might be serious problems, and those with a problem were warning their customers not to update. If you didn't get any warnings, you might be okay, but I wouldn't know if there is any compelling reason right now to update. |

I got that impression from what I saw. It just seemed that some of the companies were having trouble getting everything sorted out in time. I saw the same thing over the years with some Windows changes. |

I've been holding off for that and other reasons and reasons related to work. For work I've already compiled a list of changes and workarounds, but I want that thinned out as much as possible before upgrading. As it is, the only Mac around here that might get upgraded soon is my SO's. -- "Even with the brain dead, the pig's heart keeps on beating... sort of like ... pick a Kardashian." -Anthony Bourdain, Parts Unknown |
