Helicopters have nothing on hummingbirds, but the 20D can still stop the
action.

Sorry for the low quality. 1600 ISO, 1/8000, cloudy day, extremely
adjusted RAW.

I enjoy looking at most of your pics. But this one isn't up to par
with
your usual postings. It's a frozen helicopter. Big whoop. Count me
in
with the crowd that would like to see a little motion from the blades.

The point of the exercise wasn't to take a great helicopter pic.

That's a real shame - if the conditions had been better and that
feeder were a real flower that would have been a fab shot - I love
the bit of motion still visible in the wings.

And you know, I glanced at the picture of the feeder twice before
realising that it wasn't a *really* weird flower.

Nice. Thanks for posting those.

Is that a wild hummingbird?

ck

I think Frank has a leash for it, though on occasion he lets it out of
the house to terrorize the neighbourhood kids with it's impression of a
bumble bee. We've adminished Frank for this in the past, but as you can
see, he never listens.

Nice. Also shows that 'raindrops' aren't "raindrop" shaped. :]
