Noblex 135 quality
Hello,
I´m interested in Noblex 135 but I´m worried regarding the lens quality. I have tied Horizon and found the quality to be useless. How better is Noblex 135? |

I'm happy with mine. Prints to 40" are sharp enough for
my eye. YMMV. Jytzel wrote: Hello, I´m interested in Noblex 135 but I´m worried regarding the lens quality. I have tied Horizon and found the quality to be useless. How better is Noblex 135? |

Noblex 135 quality
Well, I had a Horizon and was happy to get rid of it some time ago and now
I own a Noblex 135U and the quality is quite acceptable. I found out that if one uses a tripod and stops the aperture down to 8 or so, the quality is good. I am not really excited but I am usually using 120 film and did not want to get the much large and more expensive 150 Noblex.... To cut the long story short, the quality is fine if you stop down and use a tripod. The Noblex is far from useless, and is quite sharp:

Were you using it to photgraph scenes at infinity or : closer? I guess there are bad examples of that camera produced. I just bought a Horizon 202S which is the upgraded model sold by KievUSA. I have shot only one roll of film with it and got very sharp images with no banding. Ray -- E. Ray Lemar |
