Help please w tripod or monopod
I am looking for a very light weight - sturdy, compact tripod (packable) w
a light compact ball head or a monopod w a light small ball head that I can also use a walking stick. I could also use advice on where to buy it? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Sincerely Fred -- Fred Lebow |

No specific suggestions, but if you can get to NYC, B&H has a floor display of a much larger number of tripods and heads than I've seen in any other camera store. If you can't, their extensive online catalog should provide sufficient information to find a suitable tripod or you could call and ask to speak with someone in the tripod department. For compactness, legs should have more than 3 sections, and I assume that since you're looking for a very light weight tripod, even if it's one of the carbon fiber or "basalt" models, you won't be using it for a large lens on a DSLR. |

Sincerely Fred Sierra Trading Post Here is a single hiking/walking pole with a camera mount. 22.5" collapsed to 52" expanded, 10 oz.. $59.95 (40% savings). These styles of hiking/trekking poles are rugged and practically indestructible. http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/3...le-Single.html The company has been around for years, has brick & mortar locations and does not try to upsell, rip you off or profit on shipping & handling. They specialize in closeouts, clearances, discontinued items, cosmetic blems etc. I have purchased many items from them, saved a bundle, and never had a problem with an order. |
