Storing exposure faq

I use a Nikon D70 storing images in NEF format. Does this camera (or any other brand and format combination) have the ability to store the exposure in the file header? ....when I use photoshop and/or gimp I currently have no way to know what exposure was used for which file without making external notes somehow. All the info is contained in the EXIF data in your NEF files. If you are using Photoshop with Bridge, or Lightroom, you can use that data as sort & search criteria. Here is the exposure info displayed in Bridge. http://homepage.mac.com/lco/filechute/Bridge-01.jpg In PS menu, go to File == File Info. Then select "Camera Data." http://homepage.mac.com/lco/filechute/PS-CameraData.jpg -- Regards, Savageduck |
