Subject: Your REC.PHOTO.DIGITAL comments

Larry,

My name is John Henry DeJong. I am writing
to tell you that I am tired of your stupid
bull**** comments in rec.photo.digital.

Keep your eccentric opinions to yourself,
or one day somebody might haul your bitch
ass into court and sue the pants off you.
Stop acting like a ****ing prick in the
newsgroup.

I'm pretty sure that I have not seen JH use the address
" anywhere in several years.

I'm inclined to think that you've been worked by a spoofer. Please

post

Chad Bryant - smells a dink

That's not a "dink" you smell. It's the obsession that's coming out of
your sweat.

I frequently have the problem of the 'last new news' date on the
group being reset, so my reader downloads thousands (last time,
a hundred thousand) old posts when I'm not looking.

I wonder if this flake has figured out how to do that. Anyone
else have trouble? This is the only group that seems to do it.

That happens occasionally to some people for some newsgroups. But
I've never heard of it being caused by anything other than the news
server itself having to renumber the messages in its database. Some
servers provide advance notice. If your newsreader has the option,
you can limit the number of headers it will retrieve per session.
That way you might only have hundreds of headers to download and
deal with. Much more manageable than 100,000.
