As expected, the D5100 is an upgrade of the D5000 with a 16.2 MP Sony
sensor similar to the one in the D7000 and 1080P video.

There is nothing particularly exciting to report, but Nikon expects
the D5100's combination of features and excellent low-light
performance to make it the best selling DSLR of the range.

You didn't notice that was a late April Fool's joke?

The actual high ISO (H-2, and not even a "real" ISO) is
25,600, not 102,400.

But check out the night vision special effect for movies - ISO 102,400.

Calling any of it "night vision" is nonsense. Night vision devices
use microchannel plates that multiply electrons and project them onto
a photo-sensitive screen. If and until cameras sport that, or an
EMCCD, they are NOT night vision.

Spoil sport. It's a "special effect". The buying public of that level
of camera will lap it up.
