Need interface to show pictures in notebook on TV
Hi, When I have several people who want to see my digital pictures on my notebook, it gets a little crowded. I have a unit which I have to download pics to the unit in a different format and has a file size limit. (modified ZIP drive) I want something which I can plug into the USB port (or ext monitor jack) on the notebook and the TV audio / video jacks to show what appears on the note book screen. Any ideas / recommendations? Thanks, Fred (to send email, get the lead out) |

Yes, Most laptops in the last few years have a S-video jack. There used to
be video out to composite video converters on the market. Check around for one. bg "Thomas" wrote in message ... There's a fairly new class of device called a Digital Media Receiver (DMR)
that will do this. Windows XP has new support for such devices (Windows Media Connect). The devices vary but you might be able to find one to suit your needs now. "Digital media receiver is a term used to describe a broad range of consumer electronics devices that let you play your digital media (such as the digital music, video, and photo files on your computer) in any room in your home-even in rooms that do not have a personal computer." "DMRs are available in numerous sizes, shapes, and configurations from a variety of manufacturers. Depending upon the model, the device might be able to play audio only, audio and video, or audio, video, and photos. Some DMRs have integrated displays, while others connect to TVs or other display devices." "Fred" wrote in message ...
