Notice something about most of the new DSLR releases?
People want a camera that has the same design paradigm as a 1936 Exacta
because they are "comfortable" with it. They have come to assume that a camera must be junk if it does not conform to this fixed delusion of what a camera should look like. That this SLR form factor represents an arbitrary design paradigm that has forced them to work in a specific way and impacts not just on how but what images are made never occurs to them. It is the same in politics and religion, only worse. Fortunately people don't die because of outmoded SLR design paradigms. |
