Default Smugmug... thoughts?

What are your thoughts on Smugmug?

I've subscribed for the 14 day trial. So far I'm enjoying, but I'm trying to
weight if it is worthy to pay for the year subscription.
Also, if you are a member, it would be nice if you could tell what is your
page there (or any other similar webpage for that matter).

I'm not a professional photographer, I only want to share my work with
others and learn a bit from others' work.

Cheers

Padu

I'm a happy subscriber. Unlimited storage & flexible layouts (that I
have yet to take advantage of). Their prints are okay, but I prefer them
done elsewhere. Browsing and searching are great. Nice slideshows. It
allows comments on galleries and individual photos.

My photos there are not protected, but mostly they are there for family
& friends. Nothing spectacular, but you can see them at:

I like Smugmug. I've got private and public galleries as well. I would
NOT recommend their printing business, I found the tests I had printed
were about Walmart quality. Just not worth it when there are really
good printers out there.

However, I like their hosting. I like the layout, the viewing options,
etc. And the fact that I can upload as many images as I want, as large
as I want is wonderful. It makes for an offsite backup of my best
images. Even things I don't want to share with the world I stick up in
a private gallery and know they're insurance. Your gallery is easy to
find. Its your username.smugmug.com

Here's mine: http://tandaina.smugmug.com

I havn't played with their layout much or mucked around with many
settings. But I like it.

Padu, it does what I need it to do basically and thats share photos. You
can upload as many megs as you want, no limit on the storage. I have both
private and public galleries set up (about 10 or 12).

Can be a tad cumbersome to arrange your photos exactly the way you want but
once you get the hang of it, its a bit easier. Their support staff is
perhaps one of the best (family owned) and they do respond usually within
minutes or hours if they are available, if not for sure the next day.

My site is kd2pm.smugmug.com
