Hi,

If any one is interested in a great compact camera - I highly recommend
this model.

You are aware that all Canon digital cameras record images in
monochrome, not color, right? These cameras all use old, dinosaur
sensor technology. Only the highly acclaimed Foveon sensor records
images in color.

The Sigma SD10 uses this great Foveon sensor. This is simply the
greatest camera ever made in terms of image quality, effective
resolution, build quality, advanced features (like built in
camera-shake elimination), and just about every category. Do yourself
a favor and get rid of the **** box Canon and switch to Sigma. Then
you can develop a DSLR system by adding lenses and accessories which
will be compatible with any future Sigma digital SLR cameras.

Odd thing is the Canon records colour better than any Foveon sample I've
seen.

You should listen carefully to Professor Preddy - important guy, very big in
hard core pornography, knows all about cameras. Uses a $7.95 point 'n'
shoot.

The Foveon chip is no more color or black and white than any other chip. The
only difference is in how it arranges its sensors.
