Default Canon A80

I looked for a Canon A80 at Walmart and was told that the camera had
been recalled from the stores. A check on their website showed the A80
"out of stock." Anyone know what's going on? I can't find any news
about a recall.

No official Canon news yet, but PowerShot A95 is on the way.

Canon announced A-85 recently, with features very similar to A-80 but
cheaper, with 4 Mpixels, larger 1.8" LCD (but fixed) etc. Now available in
Australia. A-80 appears to have been withdrawn from stores here.

A-85 is the update to the A-75. 4 MPixel CCD is only difference

A-95 is the update to the A-80. Change to 5 MPix, and LCD screen goes to 1.8"
from 1.5". Not yet available in N. America
