It seems it was living under the shed of our neighbor across the street. One of its offspring fell into a basement light well and she coaxed it out with a long plank and a bit of food... We were trying to trap a groundhog (Marmot) on our yard with a city provided trap. First day, caught a skunk. (Same one). Delicate getting it out w/o getting sprayed. But it was happy to leave. Caught the groundhog on the next try. Not sure where the city contractor takes these... -- "...there are many humorous things in this world; among them the white man's notion that he is less savage than the other savages." -Samuel Clemens |
