Wondering if you are going to continue our conversation.

If not, perhaps you'll explain why not.

From what I understand of the, cheaper than dirt Yongnou lenses the optics
are all plastic. However, if that works for you $75 is a bargain.

They talk about 'coating technology' so some of the elements are
presumably glass. They also give the MTF curves.

It should be glass since they usually base their lenses on some legacy
design, if I've understod things correctly and to then use another
material in the optics than the original would be fatal. Diverting from
the original glass composition could be an explanation why knockoffs
rarely measure up to the originals.

Remember when Olympus used to do he MTF tests on their SHG lenses at
60lp/mm? Now it's 10 and 30. Very forgiving.

Some of the Zuiko glass in OM series was truly first class. It measured
up well with Canon and Nikon. I know because I studied all the grafs I
could get me hands on before I bought the OM-1. I was really keen on
geting it right since I gave up getting a 50cc minibike for being able
to by a SLR system. The lenses from Olympus that I got with with the
digital Evolt was truly disappointing.

So catching on to sarcasms ain't your forte?

However, if that works for you $75 is a bargain.

I have the FD 50/1.8 for the M, so I'm good... See:

Not bad, not bad. As I said, if it works for you it is a bargain.

That's a Canon lense...

A great capture - in Norway I believe! :-)

Hell no!

Pretty close though! ;-)

On a rather dull day!

Gothenburg is mistier than London...

I'll have to take your word on that!

All things considered that is a pretty deep DoF, so where is the
great bokeh?

... and I was not trying to demonstrate any bokeh but making clear
that I'm not in market for the Yongnuo.

You have a wicked sense of humour, 'android'!Â* ;-)

A question?

When YOU use dropbox to display an image, unlike myself and other
users here you don't give away details of your name. Can you please
advise how you achieve that?

I right-click the file in finder...

I don't understand. :-(

The link you posted is on Dropbox .... isn't it?

Android's response is nonsensical

Dropbox is on a server; it's not visible in finder (unless the computer
has been compromised)

Dropbox is on a server. However, with macOS at least, one also has a local
Dropbox folder, and that folder, along with all the sub-folders, and files
are visible in the Finder.

Android is correct in that if one right-clicks on a file in the Dropbox
folder one of the options presented is to “Copy Dropbox Link”, along with;
“Share”, “View on Dropbox.com”, Version History”, & “View Comments”.

Yes, DB syncs nicely with you local computer if the OS is supported.
Dragging a file out of the local DB folder removes it from charing.

....and if you want to keep a file in a DB folder you can kill the link by
going to the Web interface, double click on the file to open it, then click
on the “...” in the upper right. The pop-up menu will give you the option
to “Remove Link”, and retain the file. If you “Share” again, a fresh
link will be generated.

If you have one of the pay editions of DB, you have the option of setting an
expiration for the link, or a password, or disallow download.
